We often make homemade pizza using pizza stones in our oven, and had been toying with the idea of buying a proper outdoor pizza oven. But with the typical UK weather, we decided it would probably only get used a handful of times each year during the few weeks of nice weather. We were recommended the G3 Ferrari G10006 Delizia Pizza Oven by a friend who adores it, so we thought we’d give it a try. It’s an electric indoor model that promises high temperatures and fast cooking. It’s compact, simple to use, and doesn’t require any special setup beyond a plug socket.

Blisteringly Fast, Even Cooking

This little pizza oven delivers outstanding pizza results. It’s genuinely better than anything we’ve made in a conventional oven. It heats up quickly and once preheated, a pizza cooks in just 2–3 minutes. The base comes out crisp, the toppings are bubbling, and the crust gets that lovely golden stone baked finish that is impossible to achieve in a traditional oven.

It features an adjustable thermostat which ranges from level 1 to 5. I personally use level 2, which seems to be just right for nice crispness while avoiding burning the pizza. There’s a built-in timer with a bell that rings when it hits zero. It doesn’t turn the oven off, so once your pizza is ready, it needs to come out immediately. That’s not a big issue, as the residual heat would burn it anyway if you left it in too long after it is cooked.

Keep a Close Eye While Cooking

One thing to be cautious of is the clearance between the pizza and the top heating element. The oven’s compact size means there’s not much space, and if your dough rises more than expected — especially with a calzone or thicker crust — it can puff up and touch the heating element, burning very quickly. Because of that, I’d recommend staying close and checking the pizza every 30 seconds or so during cooking. You’ll quickly get used to how it behaves, but it’s definitely not something you can walk away from for 2-3 minutes and expect to come back to a pizza cooked to perfection.

A Few Tips for Best Results

Here’s a tip that’s made a big difference for me: sprinkle a small amount of semolina flour on your countertop and onto the pizza stone just before transferring the pizza. This helps prevent the dough from sticking and makes it much easier to slide the pizza onto the hot surface. I use a pizza peel or a flat chopping board for the transfer, and with semolina, it slides right off without distorting the shape.

It’s also worth noting that this oven is perfect for standard-size pizzas (up to around 11 inches) — it’s not designed for anything larger, so you’ll want to shape your dough to fit the stone.

Buying from Amazon Italy

I purchased mine from Amazon Italy, where it was on offer and worked out about £20 cheaper including shipping to the UK. It arrived within a week and was brand new, just with the European plug, which I’ve been using with a standard European to UK plug adapter without any issues. The oven draws 1200W, so no special power requirements or converters are needed. This may have been a limited time deal, but as it’s made by an Italian company, it could be that it is always considerably cheaper to buy it direct from Italy.

Final Thoughts

The G3 Ferrari Delizia is a brilliant option for anyone who wants to level up their homemade pizza game. It’s compact, fast, and honestly delivers restaurant quality results with a bit of practice. As long as you keep a close eye on your pizza while it cooks, this oven reliably produces perfect pizzas.

We’ve even used it outside during the summer by plugging it into an outdoor socket or using an extension lead. Ideal for keeping the kitchen cool and enjoying cooking pizza outside with the family.

Highly recommended if you love making pizza and want crisp, evenly cooked results.
